For our Bible Study: If you are in a relationship, or want to be, or are married this is for YOU. We all enter relationship/marriage with great expectations. Most of us are challenged when the reality hits our imagination. However, for some, the disappointment is acute. Their relationship/marriage is not living up to their hopes and can only be described as difficult. For others the relationship may be good but could be better. If you are in a relationship good, bad, or progressing, this 6-session study is for you.

A new look is coming this fall to our church library. The current collection will be expanded to include: Bible study, biography, classic, contemporary, fiction & non-fiction, as well as men, women, youth and childrens collections.
Please check your shelves at home for any library books in need of being returned. Any one wishing to help with the organizing and cataloging of materials may call Debbie Barton at 463-7391. Watch your bulletins as we highlight special features and update our progress. Pray that the materials selected for our library will be God-honoring.
I am overjoyed to report that God is growing our church in the most tender way: the addition of children! As a result of this growth, we now are offering 2 nurseries. Our upstairs nursery will take care of the infants, while the downstairs nursery will be used for the Explores (babies on the move to children 4 yrs. Old). A big Thank You! to all the new volunteers who have stepped up to this very important ministry this year! We can always use more help in either nursery, so if the Lord speaks to your hear, please come see me or call me at 463-8045.
In Christ, Chrystal

Sept 12&19 Help is Here
Summer is about over and another school year is upon us. It has been a fun summer with the Summer Bash in July with a good turn out of teens. We even had some new faces there, too. Also this summer the Middle Schoolers have been having fun on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm with a Narnia Theme. They have been watching the movies and learning the Biblical aspects from the movies. It has been a fun summer with the group doing everything the Narnia way. In August we had a pool party for the middle school to high school age. This pool party was a great time for fun in the sun, water, and food on the grill. The teens have a new place to hang out and have fun in Jesus name. The youth room has moved upstairs to the room in the balcony. We had many changes to the setup and a major upgrade of the technology too. We added Christian music, books, and videos to a library for the teens to check out and listen, read, and view new things. We even added some fun recreational games like a foosball table and a PlayStation2. Hopefully this new setup will make the teens feel more comfortable and help them experience a better learning environment for them to be in as we study the WORD and how it applies to our lives today. Our bible study as school begins will focus on Pauls journey. What a great study to focus in on as we head back to school.
Looking ahead we have some fun events to look forward to. On September 22, 2010 we will be meeting at the Watervliet High School at 7:00 am for See You at the Pole. Also in September we are going to try a go at Fantasy Football. The league name is the WFMC Youth Group Fantasy Football League, which is open to adults and teens alike. We are going to have a draft with this too. If anyone is interested in this, contact Pastor Matt. On October 17th, 2010 we will go to the Corn Maze. This is a great time to gather your friends for a time in the cold crisp air, getting lost in a bunch of corn.
Mens Bible Study is moving to Tuesday nights starting September 14th at 7:00, same place- Pastor Brians house. We will be studying Men of the Bible like Cain and Able, Noah, Enoch, Abraham, Joseph, Isaac, Moses, David, Peter, Timothy, James, John, Paul just to name a few. Each week we will look into one of these mens lives and learn about him, examine his life-what was his downfall, what did He do that glorified God. What can we learn not to do and what is it that we should we be doing as men?
Men, this is one of those studies you can invest minutes or hours diving in and learning, applying and growing. OR you can just come and listen to what the other guys are finding in the scriptures.
Men’s Bible Study
Often times we look forward to the fall, the change in the weather (the HOT-sticky summer heat to cooler fall nights) the change in colors (the all green leafs to the many fall colors), the change of schedules (summer free time to back to school) the change in events (the lake activities to the stadium events).
Not to mention the First Day of school for some, from preschoolers to college bound kids. They all have a few things in common: Fear, anticipation and questions. Isnt that the way it is for all of us everyday? Dont we all have these things in common TOO: fear, anticipation and questions?
*Fear what if my car wont start or I miss the bus? What if I am late for work and I get fired? What if I dont know the answers on the test? What if I get hurt today, how will I pay my bills? What if something happens to my family and my kids get sick today?
*Anticipation what s going to happen at school or work today? Pop-quiz? Big Project? Anticipation in relationships, can we make it? Will he/she still love me after this? Will I make the starting team or will I get picked for the special project this time?
*Questions where is my life going? How am I going to get to where I want? How long will this take? How much will it cost? What IF? Why? How? When?
Fear, anticipation and questions seem to come at us from all angles, what do we do with them? How do we handle, manage and or survive these fear, anticipation and questions?
One verse jumps off the pages at me when it comes to fear, anticipation and questions, Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; Often times it is the last thing we want to hear, it is the last thing we want to do or practice. Be Still wait, be silent, be quiet, don’t move, sit still, ALL hard things for many of us to do. Here are some examples and ways to BE STILL: sit beside a campfire until it goes out, watch the sunset until it is dark, or sunrise from dark to full sun, sit beside the river until…you can hear it.
Know that I am God often times we say, or somewhat believe, or think we know who God is. But if we really KNOW that God is the great I AM and that He is GOD would we be having all these fears, anticipations and questions? In Matt 28: 17 the disciples still doubted or in Mark 9:24 a man said, Help me overcome my unbelief We are not alone when it comes to fear, anticipation and questions. The disciples and people who knew Jesus still had fear, anticipation, and questions.
I KNOW: God loves me, God knows whats best for me, God wants me to be with Him in Heaven forever, God is in control
So the real question is can I TRUST HIM? Yes I can, I dont have to fear, worry, or question. I can Be still, and know that He is God can you?
