Offering Creative ADR Services by a Trained Mediator and Arbitrator
Through our years of experience, we have come to believe that alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods, such as arbitration or mediation, is often in the best interest of our client and everyone involved in a legal matter. Disagreements and legal disputes can often be resolved more quickly and less expensively though mediation and arbitration than through formal litigation. In addition, alternative methods of dispute resolution can help parties such as neighbors, business partners, and ex-spouses preserve a civil relationship rather than increasing hostilities. Maintaining a positive relationship is often important when the parties involved must interact with each other in the future. Our attorneys are skilled at guiding clients through the ADR process. We strive to protect our client's rights without unecessarily jeapordizing a successful mediation or arbitration.
Attorney Catherine A. Riesterer also provides neutral mediation and arbitration services to those involved in breach of contract actions, real estate litigation, and other commercial disputes. She is a trained arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association serving on its Commercial Arbitration panel and is qualified to serve as an arbitrator for civil disputes. She also serves on the court roster of state approved mediators for several counties, including Oakland and Livingston Counties. She completed the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's 40 hour intensive mediation training and continues to take numerous advanced training courses. She is qualified to mediate all civil litigation matters and enjoys helping parties creatively fashion their own settlement agreements. If you would like to schedule mediation or arbitration with Ms. Riesterer, please call our office.
We also understand that not all disputes can be resolved through mediation or arbitration. When an effective resolution cannot be reached or it is not in the best interest of our client to mediate, we vigorously represent clients in civil litigation and appeals when necessary.
