8 days Kenya Family safari
A fly-in safari that begins and ends in big game viewing country, this 8 days tour has been designed for families with older children or Honey mooners. Each of the 3 lodges on the itinerary welcomes older children and there are dedicated adventure clubs waiting for them that offer child –oriented safari activities with local guides and naturalists. There are walking tours, spots and adventures to local Masai villages as well as swimming pools and wifi access- something for every child to enjoy. And since the lodges also have spa treatment suites and masseuses, there is something for parents grownups, too.
Your safari begins in Kenya`s capital Nairobi. Instead, you spend your first night in Africa looking out for buffalo, lion and even rhino from the viewing deck of Ololo lodge, Set on the edge of Nairobi National park and a nice way to start your trip. The focus then moves north to the Samburu National Reserve, your chance to see the diverse wildlife of Kenya’s savannahs, including several animals absent from the Masai Mara National Reserve, the third chapter to this wildlife-intensive tour. The Masai Mara, of course , most famous for the annul wildebeest migration. Your accommodation – Mara Intrepids Camp is well positioned for dramatic river crossing when the wildebeest herds arrive from the neighbouring Serengeti and is an amazing game-viewing destination at any time of the year.

Safari day 1: A Nairobi Night Safari
Your safari begins at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you met and transferred the short distance to Ololo Lodge. Ololo has the perfect location to begin your family adventure: Lying on the edge of the Nairobi National Park, it is not only has views of the wildelife in the park but you also have time for an afternoon game drive to see the animals a little closer up. There are buffalo, giraffe and zebra in the park as well as rhino and lion, and an amazing wealth of bird life. We don’t have Elephants in Nairobi National park.

Day 2 – 4: A Nothern Adventure 3 Nights
Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast you transfer back to Nairobi and Wilson Airport for domestic scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve. Lying in Kenya’s more arid northern region, Samburu offers a different wildlife experience to the more familial destinations in East Africa such as the Masai Mara and Serengeti. Samburu is a land of Giant African Elephants and lions but also the long-necked gerenuk and rapier- horned, baisy Oryx. Your home for three nights in Samburu intrepids. There is also Internet access, swimming pool and an activity club for the children as well as a wellness therapist, fining and natural history talks each night for the parents and adults in the group.
Safari Day 5-7: To the Masai Mara National Reserve for 3 nights
Today a scheduled domestic flight takes you south and to the great rolling plains of the Masai Mara. Your accommodation will be at Mara Intrepids has a riverside setting inside Masai Mara Game reserve rich region close to the famous Mara River. Her is where you will millions of wildebeest during the mid- year Migration season. Such is the scale of wildelife here that you will be treated to excellent sightings of other animals all year round. It is an area rich in predators- big cats, hyenas and crocodiles- but Mara Intrepids is fenced and you can walk around on its green lawns and go bird watching.
There is Wi-fi at the camp and your children go on adventures with experienced guides to search for animals or visit local villages to meet the Maasai and see what the camp does for the local community. It is a highly educational experience- there are wildlife slide shows each night.

Safari Day 8: The journey Ends
After breakfast at Mara Intrepids you are transferred back to the airstrip for back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. There is a short drive to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where this Safari then ends and you connect with your onward travel arrangements.
