International Cryogenics, Inc. aka Michigan Sperm bank is one of the world's pioneer sperm banks. Organized 30 years ago, we have a unique and extensive range of experience in tissue banking and andrology testing. Since 1975 our staff has played an instrumental role in helping form the standards and guidelines set forth by The American Association of Tissue Banks.
The principals of International Cryogenics are from varying backgrounds in medicine, cryogenics, biochemistry and engineering. As one of the worlds pioneer sperm banks, ICI provides one of the highest quality andrology labs and frozen sperm banking programs ever made available to physicians and their patients. To date patients have delivered over 4000 babies utilizing our donor specimens.
International Cryogenics also has facilities available for collection, freezing and storage of sperm samples from patients that are planning a vasectomy or others that may experience involuntary loss of fertility due to chemotherapy, radiation treatments, or a surgical procedure that may render them sterile or sub-fertile.
All specimens are frozen, stored and shipped in liquid nitrogen (-196ºc) for maximum integrity. When specimens are stored in this manner they can be stored indefinitely. This is crucial for patients that don't plan to use their specimens for an extended period of time.
