The Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Oakland County is a nonprofit, grassroots, self-help, support and advocacy organization of consumers, families, and friends of people with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic and other severe anxiety disorders, and other mental illnesses that affect the brain.
The North (248.706.0591) and South (248.557.6440) Oakland Information and Referral lines are two separate phones that are answered by knowledgeable AMI family members who will provide information on access to services, providers of services, meetings and other information sources. Call any time, seven days a week.
