The Sleep Disorders Institute and the Attention Disorders Institute specialize in Sleep Medicine and in Clinical Neurophysiology. We evaluate and treat sleep disorders including snoring and sleep apnea, narcolepsy, daytime sleepiness, insomnia, and parasomnia. We also evaluate and treat the brain disorder (encephalopathy) with attention deficit (commonly known as ADHD) using brain mapping of cognitive evoked potentials.
Clinical Neurophysiology Services is a Professional Corporation. It runs the Sleep Disorders Institute, accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. It also runs the Attention Disorders Institute. R. Bart Sangal, M.D., Director, is Board Certified in Sleep Medicine and in Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
An educated and aware consumer is the best means of assuring quality care at reasonable cost. No laws regulate where sleep testing can be done. Accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine assures you of high standards of quality. The Sleep Disorders Institute has been continuously accredited since 1987, longer than any other center in the Detroit metro area.
Medical care is expensive. Please remember that a physicians office-based free-standing centerprovides diagnostic testing at a much lower cost than a hospital outpatient center. If you have co-pays, you have to pay more out of pocket at the hospital. The Sleep and Attention Disorders Institutes are based in a physicians office, and are not affiliated with any hospital. The testing is performed at our testing facilities in Sterling Heights.
