Developed as a small business incorporating the award winning artistic photography of Thomas Chandler, his experience in matting and framing, and his wedding photography schedule, Visual Artistry encompasses a wide variety of photographic related services.

Over the last thirty plus years, Tom has taken hundreds of unique photographs covering a wide variety of subjects; from his landscapes, beautiful ice storms, seascapes (natural topics from harbor scenes, Lake Michigan and Lake Superior lighthouses, and rocky coastlines), hot air balloons, barns, and windmills to his delicate florals, abstracts (artistic patterns and textures), and his whimsical arrow collection. Tom's photographic relationship with The Battle Creek Hot Air Balloon Championships led to the design and production of three quality official balloon championship posters from 1987 thru 1989. From posters, postcards, balloon pins, and refrigerator magnets his selection of products was very well received and most are available here on line. Expanding into the Internet allows anyone to obtain these unique representations of a very popular sport.

In the 1980s Tom participated in many West Michigan art fairs and won a number of awards for his unique photography. His artistic talents were also displayed by the way his photography was matted, framed, and presented to the public.
His latest venture involves an alternative to expensive matting and framing with glass. The Plak-it system is a unique and attractive method of mounting, protecting and displaying photos, posters, certificates, prints or any type of art. Expanding into the wedding business has allowed him to use his professional training from a well respected local wedding photographer. Tom uses his experience, personality, and artistic eye to deliver affordable wedding photography to the local West Michigan area: garden weddings at beautiful Southern Exposure just outside Battle Creek is one of his favorites.
