Advanced Restorations Overview

Advanced Restorations is a family owned and operated business based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We specialize in hand washing Oriental and specialty rugs and textiles. We use traditional cleaning methods that have remained relatively unchanged for thousands of years. Simply put, we submersion wash, by hand. You won't recieve a service like ours anywhere else!

Oriental Rug Cleaning

Our family is expertly trained in Oriental and specialty rug cleaning. We use old world methods combined with state of the art techniques and tools that yield quality results. All work is performed, using industry standards, by trained and certified technicians. Our Oriental rug cleaning process is as follows:

Dry soil removal- compressed air is gently blown through the rug removing dirt that is trapped deep in the foundation
Full submersion wash and rinse- the rug is submersed in a wash pit, cleaned with detergent, and rinsed.
Drying- rug is hung on angle and brushed through to keep it soft
Detailing- the fringe is detailed using water and vacuum extraction
