The Voice of the Martyrs is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian organization dedicated to assisting the persecuted church worldwide. VOM was founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who was imprisoned 14 years in Communist Romania for his faith in Christ. His wife, Sabina, was imprisoned for three years. In the 1960s, Richard, Sabina, and their son, Mihai, were ransomed out of Romania and came to the United States. Through their travels, the Wurmbrands spread the message of the atrocities that Christians face in restricted nations, while establishing a network of offices dedicated to assisting the persecuted church.

Several persons in our church have been down to Bartlesville, OK one or more times to volunteer in their mailing area including Glen and Jean Lerch, Skip and Connie Evans and Thelma Taylor. The most recent trip to VOM was in August 2010. On that trip, the group brought back 30 Action Packs to be filled for sending to persecuted Christian in Sudan, Pakistan and Iraq. Items are currently being collected to help fill those Action Packs.

Needed are the following new or gently-used items:

Sheets Light jackets (child or adult) Bar soap

Sunday Morning Worship......................10:00 A.M.
Sunday School for All Ages.......................11:15 A.M.
Our Wednesday Night Fellowship program will resume in September 2010.
