Thank you for your interest in the Sensory Learning Center of West Michigan. For over a decade, the Sensory LearningSM Program has offered hope and positive change in the lives of individuals with a variety of sensory related challenges. Being one of a growing number of centers around the country, we are excited and honored to bring such a unique, noninvasive intervention to West Michigan.
The multi-sensory program useslight, motion, and sound to simultaneously stimulate the visual, vestibular, and auditory systems improving integration of sensory information. Every day, we receive inquiries whether an individual diagnosed with (Autism, Aspergers, PDD, Birth Trauma, OCD, ADD/ADHD, Bipolar, Stroke, Dyslexia, Traumatic Brain Injury, Vertigo, Depression, Dementia, unspecified diagnosis, etc.) can be helped with this Sensory Learning Program.
At the Sensory Learning Center ofWest Michigan, we look beyond the labels and identify the underlying sensory dysfunctions that this program can address. As with any program, participants are going to see a variety of results, and some may be more dramatic than others. Noticeable changes may be observed during the first thirty days or we may see it unfold over a few months. Nationally, 92% of the program participants report improvements. Across the country we have seen: Improved auditory processing; better balance, coordination and fine motor skills; greatly improved eye contact and situational awareness; more confidence and focus; visual processing improvements; more stable emotional responses; reduced anxiety, better sleep patterns, resolved bedwetting and potty training issues, improved speech and language skills, and the list goes on. It truly changes lives everyday!
The Sensory Learning Program hasshown great results for both children and adults as a stand alone procedure. However, when it has been combined with other therapies, it has consistently shown faster progress and more dramatic changes than would have otherwise been seen with traditional therapy alone.
