We love social media! So many new and exciting ways to communicate with our customers, keeping us in touch with your interests and keeping you in touch with what's happening at the store.

A recent Google satellite view update shines light upon a rooftop oddity in the Livonia and Redford area! An image of the Joker in the likeness of Heath Ledger from the Batman film "The Dark Knight," almost 50 feet tall adorns the former home of Back to the Past Comics.
How it got there is a mystery. What does it mean? We don't know.
What we do know is: that's a pretty damn cool thing to see on Google Maps.

Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as International Read Comics in Public Day, and that day is Saturday August 28th!
Here at Back to the Past, we know a good thing when we see it, so we are sounding the call to arms! Venture out into the world this Saturday and get a photo of yourself (plus friends, family, postal workers, whoever!) enjoying a comic book.

Pad your own pockets while exposing the world to comics - it's a fine fine thing.

The IART Festival in Redford takes place the weekend of July 24th at the Redford Marquee, a garden setting with indoor and outdoor space. The festival features interactive events, juried artist booths, great food, live entertainment, arts workshops and demonstrations and activities for the kids!
Back to the Past will be supporting the IART Festival with a booth full of goodies from the store. This time it'll be Andy and Scott manning the booth and dazzling you with our rapport.
Please come out and support Redford and swing by the booth to say hi on Saturday July 24th, from 11AM to 9PM.

Megamind Promotion at Back to the Past 7/22

Back to the Past Comics will be Megamind headquarters on Thursday, July 22nd! A very limited number of promotional comics for this awesome new animated film will be given out - one at the top of every hour we're open throughout the day.
Megamind is a rethinking of the modern superhero movie, starring Will Ferrel as the evil villian with the oversized cranium versus Brad Pitt as our Superman archetype. Also featuring Tina Fey and Jonah Hill - the film looks like it's going to be great! Opening day will be November 5th, but the Dreamworks promotion machine is already in progress, and we've got the exclusive swag to give away on Thursday.
