At Dance Classics, we believe in enriching each child with the very best in dance education. We believe in providing high quality instruction in the technique, artistry, and discipline that comprise any dance class. We continuously evaluate our staff and curriculum in order to be sure that we are best meeting our goals. Specifically, we strive to implement the following dance education objectives at AADC:

To expose students to a broad range of classic forms of dance.
To provide opportunities for students to work with various instructors and choreographers.
To value classical ballet as the foundation of other forms of classical dance.
To emphasize dance as a means of artistic expression and self-expression.
To enhance the dancer’s educational experience with attention to the discipline of dance.

AADC Nutcracker Audition, Thursday, August 19th @ 5:30pm. The audition will consist of a ballet type class that includes steps from the AADC Nutcracker. You must be 5 years of age or older to participate and enrolled in at least one ballet class at AADC.
Classes We Offer
Ballet - A dance technique following a syllabus that provides the foundation for all forms of dance, building on the concepts of turn-out, line, center, balance, and flexibility.
Pointe - An advanced aspect of ballet for female dancers, requiring a high degree of strength and technical precision in the feet in ankles. Participation in pointe classes is by invitation only, and requires two ballet technique classes per week.
Jazz - A dance technique based upon the movements in ballet incorporating various styles from musical, cultural, and theatrical influences.
Lyrical - A combination of ballet, jazz, and modern dance, incorporating a story or theme.
Tap - A dance technique based on the use of the feet as a musical instrument. Dancers focus on sounds and rhythms they create individually and as an ensemble.
Hip-Hop - A free style dance form based on jazz movements and incorporating hip-hop rhythms. This form of dance continues to evolve under today’s musical and cultural influences.
Creative Movement/Pre-School - Our creative movement and pre-school dance classes use basic child behaviors such as skipping and jumping to provide the basis for structured movement with artistic interpretation in the classroom setting.
Youth Company - A performance company, Youth Dance Ensemble, is available for dancers age 8 through 18 who are interested in a more intensive course of study. Admission is by audition only.
