Quakers believe that there is that of God in every person. In this spirit, we welcome all people regardless of age, race, differing abilities, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
Ann Arbor Friends Meeting is an unprogrammed Meeting affiliated with Friends General Conference. Our Meetings for Worship are held in expectant silence, without a program or pastor. Each worshiper seeks to listen to the spirit of God within. If that spirit brings to any of us a message that seems clearly to speak to the condition of others, we may rise to give that message as vocal ministry.
Visitors are welcome at either the early or the 11am meeting for worship. The early meeting usually has an attendance of about 20, and tends to have little vocal ministry. The late meeting may be attended by as many as 100, and often has more vocal ministry.
Children are invited to join their families in meeting for worship. Children attending 11:00 meeting may choose to join other children and volunteer adult leaders for the various activities of First Day School (Sunday School), which begins at about 11:20.
