PARVO VIRUS INFECTING PUPPIES AND DOGS IN OUR AREA
Hundreds of deaths due to parvo virus have been reported in Detroit, Flint, Livonia, and Pontiac. Please make sure your puppies and dogs are current on their parvo vaccinations, and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Parvo is primarily transmitted through contact with feces from a contaminated dog. Symptoms include loss of appetite, diarrhea, and vomiting. Timely treatment is essential to combat this potentially deadly disease.
To be safe, avoid taking your puppy to areas where lots of dogs congregate (such as dog parks and pet stores) until after your puppy has received its complete puppy vaccination regimen.
