Bay Motel of Alpena is independently owned & operated. We are located in a lovely waterfront community along the shores of Lake Huron on beautiful Thunder Bay.

We are not fancy but if youre looking for that clean Up North atmosphere, then this is the place to be.
Located on the property is a picnic area with a place to gather for a friendly relaxing campfire at night.
We have a variety of rooms. Singles, Doubles, Kitchenettes and an 1100 Sq ft Guest House with a 2 person Jacuzzi.

While you are here you can catch some rays at our Award winning Bahama Breeze Tanning Salon located on the premises. Bahama Breeze Tanning has 3 levels of Tanning and 8 comfortable rooms. Its an atmosphere within itself, where Up North meets the Tropics. Its been voted the #1 Tanning Salon on the Sunrise side for 4 years. 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2010
From the Bay Motel of Alpena you can take a stroll down to the beach and the many lovely parks along Thunder Bay. Just a short distance from the Motel is the beautiful Marina and pier. In the summers you can enjoy the many concerts in the park at Alpenas one of a kind outdoor band shell. It sits on the edge of the water so you can not only listen to the great sound of music but gaze into the horizon with the sparkling water dancing to the beat.
