We are a well-established Periodontal and Dental Implant practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan.Having served the community since 1975, we welcome you to our long-standing family of patients.We hope this website answers any initial questions you may have.
Upon referral to our office, the first step is a clinical examination. Dr. Sorensen or Dr. Bunek will thoroughly discuss options for treatment and his recommendations for care.In some cases we may schedule a second consultation appointment.This allows us to consult with your general dentist and review diagnostic images such as x-rays.Our goal is to work with you and your general dentist to provide the highest quality of care.

As leaders in their field, Dr. Sorensen and Dr. Bunek engage in advanced clinical training to provide new standards of care. What is Periodontal Disease?
The word "periodontal" literally means "around the tooth". Periodontal Disease (also known as "gum disease" or "periodontal infection") is an ongoing bacterial infection in the gums and bone around your teeth. This infection leads to an inflammation under the gums, and if not treated, this inflammation can destroy the bone around your teeth. This results in tooth loss. 75% of all adult tooth loss is due to periodontal infection.

Dental implants are the healthiest replacement for missing teeth. Implants can also be used to stabilize full and partial dentures, allowing you to eat and chew much like you would with natural teeth.
