Welcome to Prince of Glory. We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) located in Madison Heights, Michigan, USA, near Detroit. We serve the Lord with a program of worship, study, service, and outreach opportunities.
When our charter was signed on April 16, 1961, our church received its name from an 18th century hymn by Isaac Watts: "When I survey the wondrous cross On which the PRINCE OF GLORY died, My richest gain I count but loss And pour contempt on all my pride."
It is from the words of this hymn that our church received its call and mission.

We joyfully invite all who are baptized and believe in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins & strengthening of their lives to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion on the 1st, 3rd, & 5th Sundays of each month as well as all festivals.
We also have a service of Holy Communion at 12:00 noon on Wednesdays prior to our Senior Bible Study. All are welcome to join in Holy Communion at this service as well.
Our Worship & Music planning group continues to consider options for being more bountiful stewards of the sacrament at all worship services. We invite you to join us at the Lord's Supper.
A Nursery is available at both services and during Sunday Church School for children through age 5.

We are located at 1357 W. Fourteen Mile Rd., Madison Heights, Michigan. We are on the south side of Fourteen Mile Rd. between Stephenson Hwy. and Campbell Rd. just west of the Oakland Mall. The POG Book Club invites all members and the public to join us on the 3rd Wednesday of every month to share the love of a good book! Check the calendar for specific dates/times or the latest newsletter for more information.
