Welcome to Olde Orchard Pediatric Dentistry!
Our practice is a specialty dental practice limited to pediatric dentistry. We treat all children, infants, adolescents and patients with special needs or severe medical problems.
Often, children are referred to us by the family dentist because our doctors have had additional educational training and experience with treating children who may be fearful, young, have a lot of cavities or have had an unpleasant dental experience.
Both of our doctors are Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dentistry is a health service similar to going to the pediatrician. While we try to make your child as comfortable as possible, the dental visit is not the same as going to a birthday party. For example, some children have difficulty getting their hair cut or letting their parents help brush their teeth. Some children cry as a normal reaction to a new place or activity. We will work with each child as an individual to help them cope with the dental experience.
Everything will be explained to your child utilizing the "Tell-Show-Do" technique. Parents are welcome in the treatment room for all procedures including fillings and sedation, but we ask you be our "silent partner" so that we may get to know your child.
Before any patient treatment is provided, the parent/guardian is given verbal and/or written information, and allowed to make decisions about the choices of care.
Our office follows infection control guidelines established by OSHA, the American Dental Association and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. All of our hand pieces and instruments are heat sterilized. Our sterilizers are monitored for accuracy.
All of our doctors and staff have been immunized against Hepatitis B, and all have an annual screening for TB. We take every precaution to protect our patients, doctors, and staff. If you have any questions, or wish to observe our procedures, please ask us.
We make every effort to ensure that both the child and parent will be comfortable in our office. We'll work with you to obtain and maintain the highest possible level of oral health for your child.
Insurance Holders: Please remember to bring your Insurance ID card, Social Security information, and the parent's driver's license or other legal form of photo id.
