Welcome The practice of PERIODONTICS is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and abnormalities associated with the supporting structures and tissues surrounding the teeth. My training has included four years of dental school at the University of Michigan. Following that time, I practiced general dentistry for seven years here in Grand Rapids from 1970-1977. I then returned to the University of Michigan for a period of two years to specialize in periodontics. My training included numerous classes, courses, clinical and hospital treatment, and the preparation of an advanced research project which has been published and is in the Dental School library. Upon completion in 1979, I began my private practice here in Grand Rapids. I have taught at the University of Michigan Dental School. I have also been on staff at the Grand Rapids Community College-Dental Hygiene School for 15 years. While there, I was a lecturer and clinical instructor in Periodontics, and developed several teaching tapes still in use today.
PersonalI have been a life long resident of the Grand Rapids area and have four children. I have been active in community organizations as well as the West Michigan Dental Society and was it's President in 1991. My hobbies include tennis, photography, golf, and college sports.

My staff and I attend post graduate courses throughout the year to keep current in the speciality of Periodontics. My office exceeds the highest standards for infection control established by OSHA and MIOSHA.

Office visits are made by appointment only. The office is open usually from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. every day except Fridays (8:00-12:00).
We make every effort to be prompt, but emergencies arise and a patient in discomfort is treated as soon as possible. If there is an unforseen emergency please call before your appointment, or as soon as possible to let us know if any difficulties that you may have in keeping your reserved appointment time. I also have a second office in Rockford. We are there on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, (except for Holidays). Our address there is 15 N. Monroe and the phone number is (616) 866-1441.
