Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is an amazing display of sandstone cliffs that are found along the Lake Superior Shoreline! They are comprised of cliffs that reach as high as 200 feet above Lake Superior. The name "Picture Rocks" was derived from the minerals that seep out of the cracks and create the "pictures" within the face of the rocks. Explore by foot, bike, snowmobile, or a convenient Pictured Rocks Boat Tour. Also enjoy a Glass Bottom Shipwreck Tour and see our area shipwrecks!

A must see for all Munising travelers is our incredible and majestic waterfalls. Alger County waterfalls can be found in every direction and there is a total of seventeen.
