Positive self-esteem, uniqueness, worth and dignity of the individual are basic to all learning. We believe that a prepared, developmentally appropriate environment positively affects learning and leads children to become independent thinkers and self-motivated, continuous learners. Children learn more effectively in an atmosphere of collaboration and cooperation where peace and nonviolence are encouraged. We believe in learning as a process based on life's experiences.
Within the Montessori philosophy, the foremost priority is the child. It recognizes that growth of the individual comes through independence, order, concentration, discovery, and inner discipline.
