The City's Curbside yard waste service has been extended until October 28th. Please be sure to place yard waste in approved containers (brown compost bags available at hardware and grocery stores or a trash can marked with an "X") and place at the curb with your regular trash.The Department of Public Works is scheduled to begin their leave collection during the week of October 11th. Rake leaves to the curb, but not into the street please.
Halloween Big Screen Free Movie presented by the Recreation DepartmentEight Legged Freaks (PG-13) - Thursday, October 28th, Riverview East Auditorium, 6:30 pm. Free popcorn provided by the Children's Recreation Committee.
Open burnng of leaves is allowed in the city during October and November, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. Burning is prohibited on street pavement and on days when the Department of Environmental Quality declares an Air Quality Action Day. Burning must be conducted in a safe and nuisance-free manner, cannot pose a health or visability hazard, and must be constantly attended by an adult. See full Ordinance
