Cherryland Electric Cooperative is currently experiencing the high winds that are hitting the state of Michigan and as a result we are experiencing numerous outages. Please be assured that we are doing everything in our power to restore power as quickly as possible.
Due to the numerous outages and the very high volume of calls coming into our office our phones may ring busy at times. This is because every incoming line is in use, not because of a circuit problem. If you get a busy signal PLEASE do not call 911 unless the problem is an ACTUAL LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY. Doing so ties up an emergency line and prevents people with actual emergencies from receiving life saving help.
If you have Internet connection you can now check the status of your account to see if you are part of a reported outage by going to our Customer Self Serve area (Account Access on our webpage) and click to check the status of your account. This way you can avoid calling into the office to check.
