Tyrone Hills Golf Club is an 18-hole course that is enjoyable for all, and challenging enough for the seasoned golfer. The par 72 course is 6,363 yards if played from the tips and boasts a 70.3 rating and a 123 slope with a liberal number of raised tees and greens to keep your interest.
The course is kept in great condition throughout the summer and is a fun and challenging golf experience.
Tyrone has greens with gentle undulating surfaces that hide the true roll of the ball, which make it a challenge even if you played it one hundred times. Fairways are narrow and reflect the Matthews concept of design. Each fairway has a nicely managed landing area which will demand a good shot to be on in regulation.
Designed in 1961 by W. Bruce Matthews III, ASGCA, Tyrone Hills shares its lineage with other beautiful and challenging courses throughout Michigan and the United States. All Matthews courses use natural environments to create an outdoor experience not often found on other courses. Tyrone relies on wildlife, water, trees, traps, hazards and good pin placement to enhance your golfing skills while offering an enjoyable time for novice players. Open from Late March through October, Tyrone Hills is a great golfing experience and one that is well worth the drive.
