Southeast Michigan (MI) has been pounded with steady rainfall over the last 24 hours. Rising water levels add stress to sump pumps and storm drain systems. The Flood Team recommends that you replace your sump pump every five years and have the drains cleaned once a year to prevent catastrophic water damage. Even if you think that your sump pump and/or drain lines are properly functioning, do not take on the risk. These very simple plumbing corrections can save you thousands of dollars flood damage cost.
If you need a plumber or any other type of repair tech, RestoreNet will provide you with a pre-screened company to suit your needs. All companies within our Restoration Network are licensed, bonded, insured and...experienced. RestoreNet is rated #1 by it's customers, check it out for yourself at: customer reviews.
Don't wait. Call the best. (248) 925-8273

As most of you already know, a massive storm system pushed through the Southeast Michigan area a couple weeks ago. Over 80,000 people were left without power. Some waited for days before DTE could power them back up. We don't realize how dependent we are on electricity until we are desperately in the need of it. Not only can we lose our perishables goods stored in a non-functioning refrigerator/freezer, but we can also lose valuable possessions such as; furniture, carpeting, rugs or drywall caused by a flooded basement. A home built over a basement generally will have a sump pump or an ejector style pump installed to fight off a rising water table during heavy rain fall. With no power, there is no pump. If there is no functioning pump, you now have a flooded basement.
Areas such as: Lake Orion MI, Oxford MI, Macomb Twp MI, Shelby Twp MI, Clinton Twp MI, St. Clair Shores MI amongst other cities nearby were damaged worst from the storm. If you or someone you know has had a flooded basement due to a sump pump failure or leaky walls there still may be in the need of flood damage restoration. You may now smell a musty type odor coming from the previously flooded basement. That is the first sign of mold/fungus growth. Mold growth inside a home is nothing to be taken lightly. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE VISIBLE MOLD ON YOUR OWN! If improperly removed, mold growth will spread to other areas of the home and contaminate an entire home.
The Mold Team has trained professionals that will provide you with the steps necessary to restore the basement by removing any mold growth and restore the basement back to a pre-flood condition at no charge. That's right...a free estimate!
