With much sadness, Tree House Books has announced that we will be closing our doors on August 31 after 7 1/2 years of business. Liquidation begins on August 1 with a storewide 30% off sale. The liquidation will continue throughout the month of August. All fixtures, furniture, and antiques will also be sold. Gift certificates and store credits will be redeemed through the end of August.
The bookstore has been a gathering place for all ages, where people came to discuss books, meet authors, and share their love of the written word. We have loved talking books with you, debating ideas, recommending titles, and putting great reads into the hands of your little ones. We have some wonderful memories of standing room only author events and costume parties, and of course, our midnight Harry Potter events. The one thing the staff has agreed that we will miss the most of all is YOU,our loyal fellow book-loving customers. We want to thank you for your committed patronage, for believing in an independent bookstore when you could get your books cheaper at Walmart. Thank you for sharing the experience of connecting with another human being over the love of a good book. We will miss all of your faces and your stories. And when we bump into each other on the streets of Holland, we hope the conversation continues....
