Dapple-Gray Bed & Breakfast is a new full-log lodge on the south shore of the Great Inland Sea in Michigan's Keweenaw Penin­sula. We are located on M-26, 12 miles east of Eagle Harbor and 1 1/2 miles west of Copper Harbor.
Extending 90 miles into Lake Superior, the Upper Peninsula (UP) was home to thousands of immigrant miners during the Copper Rush of the 1840's and 50's--Cornish and Irish, Swedes, Finns, and Norwegians, Germans and Italians. Today, you can enjoy their multicultural heritage in the UP's architecture, cuisine, customs, sports, and museums.
Our location on 27 acres of forest-clad slopes along 600 feet of the rocky shore cliffs and crystal clear waters of Lake Superior is pristine and peaceful. Your eyes may delight to an eagle on the shore or a freighter on its way to Duluth; your ears to the sounds of the Lake whether a wild "blow" or a gentle breeze. A great escape from your everyday life!
Experience our winter's average snowfall of 250 inches or our summer's spectacular sunsets, and - if lucky - our northern lights. We will do all we can to make your stay comfortable.
