The Village Chapel was built in 1891 as the St. Agnes Catholic church in Fowlerville. In the early 1900's, a tornado swept through town, knocking down much of the building. The congregation decided to rebuild the church a few blocks away on Second Street. October 20, 1909, the new church was rededicated. It is the same structure that is standing today. It also houses Livingston County's only theater pipe organ, which was moved from the Granada Theater in Detroit. The Village Chapel changed ownership on June 1, 2001, and is family owned and operated. Your new hostess is Karen Ryan.
