Welcome to Marsh Ridge River Guide Service and J&J River Guides. We offer the best in fly fishing. The guides we use are US Forest Service Permitted for the White River, Little Manistee River, Big Manistee River, Muskegon River and The World Famous Blue Ribbon Trout Waters of the Pere Marquette River.

J&J River Guides. US Forest Service Permit #593 has 5 full time permitted Pere Marquette River guides, 3 Big Manistee permits, 2 White River permits, 1 Pine River permit, and 3 Little Manistee River permits. All of J&J River Guides are well seasoned on all the rivers. If you enjoy Big Manistee River winter steelhead fly fishing, plug fishing, bottom bouncing or fall thundersticking all of J&J guides know the river very well. Mike Marsh / J&J River Guides fish the Muskegon River aswell. The main goal of Marsh Ridge and J&J is to provide a solid costumer service to each individual client. We also know the importance of catch and release when fish are spawning, there in the river to insure us of more great fishing in the years to come so please release pre spawning & spawning fish.

What ever it might be, our guides have a Michigan fly fishing package for you: King Salmon, Steelhead, and Brown Trout on the Big Manistee River, Muskegon River, or Michigan's Blue Ribbon Trout Stream, the Pere Marquette River (also known as The PM River). Our guides can provide a fly fishing trip for your needs. Handicap accessibility provided when there is a 2nd helper. Had a great time on our late April Steelhead trip. With as late in the run as we were you still managed to put us on some great fish. For so late in the run you really worked hard for us and your instincts were right on as to where the fish would be. Had a great time and we'll look forward to fishing with you again in the fall.

Dear Mike, The two days I spent with you on the PM were the best fishing days I ever had. Hooking into 40 Steelies in the full sun was amazing. I enjoyed learning the indicator technique, having a hard time at first, my hard work and your expert coaching lead to fish eventually being netted. I really respect your knowledge of the river, having spotted fish after fish that boats in front of us didn't even see. Hope to fish again soon, drag screaming.

We also do river rides when available in summer and fall periods out of the fly fishing seasons. These are great for bird watchers and nature lovers. Prices are the same as the fly fishing trips as lunch is provided for full day tours, and river rides can provide comfort for four people. More boats can be provided upon request for large groups.
