About MBMI

In 1987, MBMI was founded by Glenn Ver Murlen, then a general contractor in building construction, building maintenance, and HVAC-R. In 1991 he expanded his operation with the addition of a second sales office on the north end of Grand Rapids. In 1997 he again expanded with the addition of a third sales office on the southeast end of Grand Rapids. In 2001 MBMI made the decision to consolidate all offices into one 12,000 sqft. office building.
The company's main goal is excellence in residential and light-commercial heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and energy management building controls. The company also maintains product offerings from the leading equipment manufacturing companies in the industry.
Now, MBMI has grown to one of the leaders in the industry for HVAC products and service in the Grand Rapids area.
