Originally founded in 1999 by Lane Hoberman, Blind Depot is a full service family owned & operated business with emphasis on service. Lane does all the measuring himself as well as all the installations. Blind Depot does not utilize any sub-contractors.
Lane has been in the window treatment industry since 1986. He started by making the blinds, then went on to installation before working for one of the Detroit metro areas biggest window treatment suppliers. There he was an Operations Manager, Trainer & Shutter Installer.

After gaining much experience in decorating & sales, Lane opened Blind Depot. Blind Depot was originally located on Elizabeth Lake Rd in Waterford. He was there for 8 years before he closed the showroom to focus more on in home sales & full service installation. Lane also handles all other aspects of his business such as order processing, scheduling as well as showroom sales & customer service. This way, you (the customer) gets to work with 1 person from beginning to end including all future service matters.
