Wednesday Night Alive!

Dinner for December 1, 2010- our dinner this evening will be served by our Board of Youth Ministry as a fundraiser for the youth groups. The menu will be feature a pasta bar and other home made items, please join us. Please also join us after dinner at 6:30 p.m. for an Advent Service using the Holden Evening Prayer liturgy.

Upcoming Events:

An Advent Service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. Please join us following dinner that evening for a service that helps prepare us for the birth of Jesus.
For this service, we will be using the Holden Evening Prayer liturgy by Marty Haugen. This liturgy helps us to take a step back and center ourselves on preparing for the coming of Jesus.

A congregational meeting will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2010 to approve the 2011 budget and elect congregational officers and board members. Please join us for this important meeting after the 10:30 a.m. service that morning.
Welcome Family Promise!
We will host families in the Family Promise organization at First Lutheran from December 5-12. We welcome these families to our church and are glad to host them for the week. If you are interested in volunteering, we are still in need of people to help out in a couple of areas, please contact the office if you are able to help out.
Christmas by Candlelight
Join us for a punch reception on Monday, December 13th, at 6:30 p.m. with a program following at 7:00 p.m. This is a long standing church tradition which provides an opportunity for ladies to decorate a table in festive Christmas decor and invite friends to join them at their table for the program. Entertainment for this evening will be provided by the Madrigals. Please contact the church office for more information or to buy tickets- anyone is welcome to attend.
