OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To offer Fair Trade crafts representing the indigenous cultures of Mexico and Latin America
Dos Manos, LLC is proud to provide an opportunity for artisans to export their handcrafts, still an important source of income in many rural areas of Latin America, while helping to preserve the cultural traditions of each country.
We are an importer of Mexican and Latin American Folk Art and handcrafts since 1986. Included are crafts from present-day Mexico, Central and South America. Visit the links on the left to see our complete listings of folk crafts.

Celebrate Day of the Dead
November 2 is celebrated in Mexico in honor of the dead. In a synthesis of Christian and Indian beliefs, villagers await the return of the souls of their loved ones. Skeleton figures of terra cotta, papier-mache and even candy are seen in the markets on this day. Our figures are representative of what is found in markets during this holiday, and can be purchased from us. All figures are from Mexico and are genuine Mexican crafts. Learn about Day of the Dead.

Reproductions, inspired by the Maya, Aztec, and Olmec civilizations of Mesoamerica, line our shelves. All include a description card.

Toltec temple columns
Bas relief sculptures of mythological deities, such as Ra-Kuk and Chac Mool

Our folk art recalls traditional handcrafts

Molas, the colorful and intricately hand-stitched appliques by the Kuna Indians of Panama.
Hand-crafted toys and instruments from Mexico and Ecuador.
Pine needle baskets from the Tarahumara Indians of Mexico.

We strive to purchase crafts from local artisans whenever possible, such as:

Bolivian Pachamama (Mother Earth) figures
Zapotec black pottery from Oaxaca, Mexico
Hand carved combarlite stone animals from Chile
Tagua nut (or palm ivory) carved animals from Ecuador
Mexican Amate bark paintings

Online ordering is available on our secure site or by fax, phone (toll free) or mail.
