M O R E A B O U T U S
As the owner and artistic director of Dearborn Dance Academy, I have been privileged to share my vision of dance as a performing art with many talented young people. Our advanced students enrich their artistic experiences each year during one of our trips to New York City, where they study dance at a professional studio and enjoy professional ballet performances and Broadway shows. As part of my vision, the Dearborn Dance Academy's dancers have learned the importance of sharing their talents to benefit others. We have performed several times at nursing homes and school cultural assemblies. In addition to our regular participation in community festivals and parades, we have raised over $12,000 for the Michigan Humane Society and over $6,000 for Bethany Christian's Romanian Orphanage Charities. We recently participated and helped raise money for the Dearborn Animal Shelter.
Our experienced teaching staff has a mission of developing technical skills, self-discipline, confidence and poise, through dance. Realizing this mission has been possible because of parents who teach their children the value of long term commitment and dedication to doing one thing very well. By keeping their children focused on excelling in an activity like dance, we help them develop character and prepare them for success in all areas of life.
