After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, Edward J. Ryan opened his own law practice in Kalamazoo. In a career spanning 55 years, he developed a specialty as a trial lawyer. During his years of active practice, he represented a broad range of clients including those involved in industrial injuries, automobile accidents, product liability litigation and premises liability. Edward Ryan also served as Probate Judge for Kalamazoo County. He later served as of counsel to Ryan & Ryan until his death in 1990.

William J. Ryan, after graduating from George Washington University Law School, worked for the Federal Power Commission in Washington, D.C. In 1974, he returned to Kalamazoo to join his father’s law practice.

Mr. Ryan has lectured at various seminars sponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association. He is past President of the Kalamazoo County Young Lawyers Association.
