As a hospital-based speech-language pathologist, Lesley Laraby Boykin DSPA CCC-SLP became frustrated by the lack of affordable speech and language services for children. In 2002 she began a private practice, with the mission of providing the highest quality speech and language intervention for children at a reasonable cost.

Good therapy begins with a comprehensive evaluation. Because no one knows your child better than you do, we begin each evaluation by listening to your concerns, insights, and goals. We believe that parents and therapists should work as a team. We take pride in offering only evidence-based treatment - treatment that has been proven to be effective in peer-reviewed research studies. Therapy is provided in a warm and loving environment and is structured so that your child always meets with success. The family is an integral part of the treatment, so we provide extensive parent education in all therapy techniques. Carryover between clinic and home is facilitated by individualized home programs. Our ultimate goal is to help your child communicate with confidence and joy!

Let’s Talk Kids, Inc. grew rapidly due to Lesley’s commitment to excellence in the services provided and a record of obtaining exceptional results. Over the years several talented clinicians worked with Lesley at offices in Grosse Pointe Woods and St. Clair Shores. However, as the clinic grew Lesley found she was spending less time treating children and more time running a business. In 2010 she made a decision to return to sole practice and do what she loves…helping children with speech and language disorders learn to communicate their wants, thoughts and feelings!
