Dried red tart (Montmorency) cherries from the Cherry Capital of the World. Commonly also called sour cherries or pie cherries. Lightly sweetened and dried to perfection, so they retain their softness, and full of flavor.

You could say we are cherry snobs here in The Cherry Capital of the World. We have all kinds of dried cherries (yes, there are many different kinds) and other great Michigan fruits.

Our most popular dried cherry is the Montmorency Cherry. This is commonly called the tart, sour, or pie cherry. We add these cherries to just about any recipe; cookies, muffins, pancakes, and breads. These cherries add zip to green salads, chicken salad, and even potato salad. We have a great recipe for cocktail meatballs that use our Cherry Pepper Jam, Original Cherry Barbecue Sauce and our Dried Tart Cherries, and they are fantastic.

Other cherries that we have are Dried Balaton Cherries. These cherries are becoming more popular as our customers try them. They are dark, tart cherries, but not as tart as the Montmorency cherries. Taste-wise they are between the tart cherry and the sweet cherry. We use these cherries just like our tart cherries when we want a delicious diversion.

The other cherries that we have are our Dried Michigan Sweet Cherries. These cherries are also known as dark sweets. Most people eat these cherries fresh. The sweet cherries are dried without any added sugar and are unsweetened. This process generally leaves them a bit drier and slightly chewier than our other cherries, but if you are looking for dried fruit without added sugars, these tasty cherries are for you. We do have to say that these cherries do not taste anything like the more popular tart cherries, but they have that great, sweet cherry flavor.

Our other dried fruits include Michigan Blueberries, Cranberries, and even Strawberries. Why do we have these, if we love the cherries so much? Well, they are great fruits and grown here in Michigan. Not only that we use them in our dried fruit blends and our snack mixes and they compliment cherries so well. And we are all about flavor.

We also have great chocolate covered cherries of all kinds. Our most popular are the Milk Chocolate Covered Dried Tart Cherries, but the Dark Chocolate Covered Tart Cherries are gaining popularity for the health benefits of both the cherry and the dark chocolate.
